UzChess
UzChess was founded in March 2023 by Alisher Sadullayev, head of the Youth Affairs Agency, and Ulugbek Ismatov. It is a major initiative aimed at developing chess in Uzbekistan. Its official YouTube channel hosts more than 3,000 videos with over 99 million total views. Total subscribers across social channels: 173,000.
Introduction
UzChess is Uzbekistan's national chess platform that brings together players, coaches, parents, referees, and federation staff in one digital ecosystem. The platform enables users to play chess online, participate in tournaments, improve their ratings, and access professional educational content.
Available on both mobile and web, UzChess allows players to join online competitions, solve puzzles, earn certificates, and learn from grandmasters through video courses delivered in the Uzbek language.
Problem
Uzbekistan lacked a unified national digital platform dedicated to chess. Tournaments were managed through separate systems, and communication between students and coaches was fragmented.
There was also a shortage of high-quality chess education in the Uzbek language. Players had limited access to professional learning materials created by grandmasters.
Managing tournaments, registrations, and prize competitions organized in collaboration with local companies required a modern and scalable solution.
Solution
We built a comprehensive chess ecosystem that combines gameplay, education, and tournament management within a single platform.
Through the mobile app and web platform, users can play chess online, track ratings, participate in tournaments, and earn certificates.
The platform includes video courses created by grandmasters, interactive puzzles, and practical training exercises. A dedicated tournament module supports thousands of participants simultaneously.
Specialized management tools were developed for federation staff and referees, enabling efficient tournament administration and monitoring.
